The New and Old of Tea Party Politics: Tea as a Potion and a Poultice

There are two major drinks that are both historic and cultural through the ages. There were wars waged based on the control and taxation of the herbs and spices that are mixed and matched to create what the world knew as tea. I’ve provided a few pdf files that contain books about tea. Some cultures consider tea to be a drink for the elite.. as well as a powerful tonic that can heal as well as create other effects in the human biosystem. I believe that young girls and boys both, especially POC should learn to value and benefit from herbal and caffeinated teas. Caffeine is a proven substance that sharpens mental focus and provides clarity to those that know how to use it appropriately. Herbal blends are beneficial in thousands of ways based on their herbal, medicinal, and nutritional strengths. Coffee also serves a valuable purpose healthwise, but tea is so variable and vast in its makeup that the benefits are near to unbeatable aside from pills and intravenous applications of pharmaceutical medications.

In many Asian cultures both ancient and modern, one of the most sacred ceremonies of loyalty and faith involved the preparation and sharing of tea. In Asia tea itself is sacred. It’s a commodity that has funded entire kingdoms and governments. The British love of tea and herbal tonics come directly from Oriental and Asian influence and became a staple of culture and elitism in Western Europe. We know that in Europe tea drinking is a part of feminine etiquette and socialism. In U.S. history there was the “Boston tea party” and a war that began as an issue of the taxation of tea by the British. Tea has long been a plantation crop valued across the Atlantic and imported and exported worldwide.

As a presenter of information and educational materials, I know that coffee and tea aid both skillsets of reading and writing. The discussion becomes more in-depth, dynamic, and alive. I’m proud of this website already in the fact that I’d let my 10-year-old daughter read the posts and PDFs presented here. All of the .pdfs provided here are presented under fair use guidelines and as such are free to read and download. Tea is powerful medicine, utilized through time and the key to the knowledge of the alembic and the potions of the wizards and witches of antiquity. I’d recommend that every parent purchase a tea set. Have tea with your babies. Teach tea and coffee culture to your family. Go to a tea house. Have tea instead of wine with your dinner. See how caffeine sharpens your wit. See how other herbs and dried fruits, peels, and leaves offer health benefits that cannot be matched by even pharmaceuticals.
